Squad Mobility develops the Squad, World’s first Solar City Car for sharing and private use. The Squad is a solution for urban emissions, congestion and
parking problems.
The mission of Squad Mobility is to offer affordable sustainable (sub)urban mobility for everybody, everywhere.
The Squad charges its batteries on direct solar energy from solar panels on its own roof. Alternatively the Squad can charge directly from the grid.
The Squad is specifically designed for fleet and sharing purposes with solar
charging and swappable batteries.
The Squad is a very affordable Solar Car designed to be a solution to as many people as possible generating the most impact possible. Due to the extreme
efficiency and low energy and materials usage of the vehicle we generate a
very low impact.
Most of the energy is generated by the integrated solar panel and any extra power can be charged from the grid or through the swappable batteries. The
Squad is a unique high tech product combining energy generation, energy
storage and energy usage in one single autonomous vehicle.
The Squad Solar City Car is designed as a modular solution that can be tailored for and assembled in the target geographic region. It is an inclusive solution
affordable to as many people as possible due to the low cost and frugal design.
We are aiming for the €5000 - €10000 segment in the mobility market. We
are combining the price point of and ease of an e-scooter combined with the comfort and security of a car. e.g. stability, safety, A/C, weather protection and comfortable seating position. The batteries of the Squad are portable and
exchangeable.
Currently Squad takes part in the GIANTS project, a 12m Euro EU funded
project with 22 partners of which are e.g. Renault and Toyota to develop a
'frugal zero-emission vehicles concept for the urban
