Guneet Banga: Building the Bridges Between Climate Innovation, Capital, and Global Collaboration
Guneet Banga is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Parinama Group, focused on advancing climate innovation and sustainable investment. He works to connect capital, technology, and partnerships that drive scalable environmental impact.

Addressing One of the Greatest Challenges of Our Time

The world is entering a defining period in its response to climate change. While scientific understanding and technological innovation have advanced rapidly over the past decade, one challenge remains constant: transforming promising solutions into large-scale impact.

Few leaders understand this challenge better than Guneet Banga, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Parinama Group. Combining expertise in finance, venture investing, sustainability, and ecosystem building, Guneet has dedicated his career to helping bridge the gap between innovation and implementation.

As a valued member of our global community of investors, family offices, entrepreneurs, and business leaders, Guneet brings a unique perspective on how capital, collaboration, and leadership can be harnessed to create meaningful environmental and economic progress.

His work is guided by a belief that climate change is not simply an environmental issue - it is also a challenge of coordination, investment, and execution.

A Career Shaped by Finance, Sustainability, and Purpose

Throughout his professional journey, Guneet has developed a rare combination of financial sophistication and sustainability expertise.

Banga’s path into climate finance began with a broad interest in how capital shapes business outcomes. “My career spans finance, technology, and sustainability,” he told CEO Insights India. He holds an MBA from Wharton, a BA from Princeton, and certifications in ESG and impact investing. He frames that education as formative beyond the technical: Working across markets and sectors has reinforced my belief that business must be both analytically rigorous and deeply responsible.

That conviction was shaped, in part, by Hong Kong’s Indian business community, where he is based. Hong Kong’s Indian community has always stood for entrepreneurship and civic engagement. He notes. “At Parinama, we’re channeling that spirit into climate innovation, with India as our starting point”.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Guneet is driven by a deep sense of responsibility toward future generations. He believes that the decisions made today will shape the world inherited by tomorrow's leaders, making sustainability not only a business opportunity but also a moral imperative.

This perspective has shaped both his personal values and professional ambitions, influencing the way he approaches leadership, investment, and innovation.

Building Parinama Group: A New Approach to Climate Progress

Banga co-founded Parinama Group as a climate-technology platform built on a single observation that the world does not lack climate solutions so much as it lacks alignment among the stakeholders needed to scale them. The firm operates through three integrated divisions  - Venture Builder, Strategic Advisory, and Ecosystem Builder - that, in his words, “work together to accelerate solutions that begin in India but have global implications”. We see ourselves as conveners and catalysts, turning vision into investable, scalable climate action, he adds.

India sits at the center of that thesis as a critical proving ground: the world’s third-largest emitter, one of the fastest-growing major economies, and home to exceptional engineering talent and a thriving startup ecosystem. Banga’s view is that India can design and deploy cost-effective green technologies at scale - and then export them to the world.

From Vision to Execution

The Aspire Impact investment illustrates the model in practice. The April 2026 deal installed Saloni Malhotra as CEO and added Dr. Ram Sharma to the advisory board, taking Aspire Impact to a post-funding valuation of ₹360 million. The intended Aspire Impact - ImpactIQ combination is the clearest expression of Banga’s conviction that integrating complementary platforms can unlock value the broader market has yet to see.

As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Parinama Group, Banga is focused on turning India’s structural strengths into solutions that scale globally, blending tradition, innovation, and impact - building bridges between global capital and local solutions.

Investment Philosophy: Blended Finance and Systems Thinking

Banga’s defining argument is one of scale and urgency. He estimates India's Net Zero 2070 target will require roughly $1 trillion per year in climate-tech investment. No single pool of capital can meet that need. Parinama’s role, as he describes it, is “to attract foreign capital and blend public, private, and philanthropic funds to close the gap - creating an ecosystem where investors, corporates, governments, and civil society operate from a shared playbook. It’s about breaking silos and aligning incentives”.

He is candid about the obstacles. He points to policy and regulatory uncertainty, conservative financing norms, and the tragedy of the horizon, the tendency to discount long-term climate risk in short-term planning. His prescription is blended finance, which “allows concessional capital to absorb early-stage risk and crowd in commercial investors, while aligning on longer time horizons and social outcomes”. As he puts it, “Our job is to de-risk action, one obstacle at a time. The greatest risk is inaction”.

His definition of success extends well beyond returns. Leaders should move beyond profit as the sole metric to include gigatons of emissions avoided, lives improved, and ecosystems preserved, he argues. The stakes, in his framing, are absolute. The outcome of the fight against climate change is effectively binary - either we all win, or we all lose. Climate change does not recognize borders, balance sheets, or social status.

Recognition, Thought Leadership, and Looking Ahead

Guneet's contributions to climate innovation and sustainable finance have earned growing recognition within both business and sustainability circles.

Banga’s work has drawn consistent recognition across business, investment, and sustainability circles:

•       2023 - Honored as a “Global Visionary - Impact and Sustainability Icon” by the Times of India’s Vision World Academy.

•       2025 - Selected by CEO Insights India among the “Top 10 Visionary Indian Business Leaders”.

•       2026 - Featured by Mirror Review among “Climate Tech Leaders to Watch in 2026”.

•       2026 - Recognized by CEO India among “Top Sustainability and Climate Tech Investors”.

His vision is one where climate innovation becomes mainstream, sustainable businesses become the norm rather than the exception, and investment capital actively contributes to solving global challenges. Through Parinama Group, he continues to work toward this future by supporting founders, connecting stakeholders, and helping build the systems needed to scale meaningful solutions.
